My gosh, how is February over already?? Sounds like you covered a lot of ground. I think at the end of the year you should round up what you think were the best or most enjoyable games from these various catagories.

That Wii Kirby collection is good but yeah, it's just the traditional Kirby platformers. It would have been great if they'd included all the weird side games or even put out a second collection. But why has Nintendo not dumped them all on Switch Online???
The big expansion for Destiny 2 last fall brought the storyline that's been going since the beginning of Destiny 1 to a close...except it's a live service game, so nothing ever really ends lol. It was a pretty good expansion though. A new season just started this week, so maybe that's what you saw.
I had been waffling on SMTV since it came out. I played and enjoyed SMT IV on the 3DS but I have so little time for RPGs and the SMT games are pretty intense. BUT when I saw it was just $13 at VGP, I had to get it.
I have now put Doughlings: Arcade in my wishlist!
Did you get to try Kirby's Block Ball? That's a fun take on Breakout. I have the physical cartridge and played through it...gosh...maybe 15 years ago.
Maybe one day I'll find a farming game that doesn't look tedious. Honestly, I should just try Stardew Valley and see what I think. But in Farmagia, growing the monsters—while a cool idea!—just sounds boring.
Last year I played Nano Assault EX for the 3DS, expecting it to be a scrolling shooter like the other games from its developer, but it turned out to be a twin stick shooter interspersed with Star Fox-like levels. It was kind of short but I enjoyed playing it.
Nice to see Renegade Ops getting a mention! It was a PS+ game on the PS3 the first month I subscribed and I played all the way through it. I don't remember a lot of specifics about the the game but hey, like I said, I did play all the way through!
Banana Rumble is the first Monkey Ball game I have played since the GameCube days. I have not tried the mini games yet but that's too bad that they don't live up to those older games. The MB mini games can be so zany...which I guess is true of the whole series lol.
I have a feeling that I'll be coming back to Vampire Survivors periodically for a long time, especially with all the cool DLC they've been putting out.
Man, those DS versions sound so good. I hope I come across them sometime and get to try them out.
I will definitely check out Yars Rising. And I'm glad to finally have an explanation of Bakeru! I've seen that mentioned a few times. But congrats to Zelda! A well-deserved win, it sounds like. But if you get a chance to play Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, give it a try! It is still probably cheap.
