I played this way back but didn't get very far in it 'cause of lousy controls if I remember right. I do have a soft spot for this game though because of Phil Hartman voicing Blasto.
I played the variations on MS Mahjong. Some add timed challenges. It's nothing too different but I saw that MS has free Suduko and Wordament games as well.
I'm glad they worked out the gameplay issues. I'd like to try this again.

The four-player game seems a lot like a card game but with tiles.
