I had a lot of grim FPS and strategy games ahead of Ni No Kuni 2, but I think I just wanted a bright and cheery game in my current funk. I didn't expect to finish it, but nothing particularly discouraged me until that post game dungeon. Will I stay with DQXI 'til the end? I don't know. I'm a bit touchy lately, so as long as it doesn't throw at me something I feel is unfair, I'll keep going. 

And I would say to "getting over the hump", just be okay with not finishing it. I feel, even if I only played a few hours of a long game, I got something out of it. And there'll be more for a return visit too. These redditer's bragging about their numerous 100% completions be damned. 

I'm excited to get back into Streets of Rage 4. I played a little bit of it a while back and liked it a lot. I didn't have a great time with LM Dark Moon, and struggled to finish the first one, but I love Luigi and the haunted house setting so much. I hope 3 has controls I don't have to fight this time. And I have MLBIS original on DS I need to play. I forgot this 3DS one is a remake. I'm going to have to see if I can find a copy. I love the M&L series. 

It looks really interesting. If I get my PS4 running this month, I'll check it out (or my Switch). 

Good to hear from you. I've been exploring reddit lately, both for gaming and music. I'm on Discord too but only for a Music League (an app) thing I'm doing with Facebook/college friends. I just use my gamertag, aiwithwarpdrive, for all of it (except Facebook). 

I've been watching the PS5 lately for price drops and cheaper versions of the console. I suppose I could consider a PS5 Xmas purchase but I'm still not sure about it. Money's tight. 

I need to get to FFIII and finish FFIV on DS. I still have them incredibly with all the trading I end up doing.  

Yeah, I really liked what I played. I should try it again. 

I would love a collection of these early Raven Software games for console. I played Heretic on PC and Hexen on N64 back in the 90s. I've always wanted to play Heretic II but got out of PC gaming.

It seemed like all of Xbox One's games were available on Xbox Series systems. so I didn't need it but FH2-3 made me think about it again. PS5 is just too much money for me right now and I only have a very small number of games exclusive to it I want to play. Ratchet & Clank, though, I would get a PS5 just for that if I wanted to spend $500. 

It totally could be if they gave the character talking equipment like in High Life.
