Thanks for sharing. River City Ransom is a great game.

Thanks for reading. I would show some gameplay except for the fact that NES music is often hindered from the sounds of gameplay (due to the capabilities of NES hardware). MM music is awesome! Those are some of my favorite NES themes.
Thanks. Very cool remix. NES music is unique and, let's admit it, more creative than some modern game music today. Thanks for reading and for the input.
Interesting stuff. I play emulated games every now and then, but playing the real thing is way better. It's just nice to know you can play any game for whatever console you want at any time thanks to emulation.
I could go either way, but a gamer would be a plus. My ex-girlfriend didn't really play games, but she didn't mind that I was a Nintendo nerd.
Absolutely, thanks for reading. I'm not opposed to having Sonia return in another Castlevania game, I think that would be great.
Let me look into that....no, I don't think so. There was a fan-made game called "The Legend of Castlevania," but that was a remake of Castlevania III. You're probably thinking of The Castlevania Adventure Rebirth for WiiWare, which is not a remake per se, but a throwback to all the old school Castlevania games. I've got it, and it's a pretty good game.
This game adheres to the Castlevania formula set forth in the NES games, so it plays pretty much the same. And I totally agree with you, no matter how bad this game was, the N64 ones have to be the worst in the entire series. I think all of the 3D Castlevania games have their problems; Castlevania is best in 2D.
The SNES is my favorite console of all time because I grew up on it and loved it, but also because it has some of the greatest games ever. This is not just my opinion; these games are considered some of the best games ever: Street Fighter II, Super Mario World, Super Metroid, Final Fantasy II and III, Secret of Mana, Earthbound, Chrono Trigger, Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Mega Man X, TMNT 4: Turtles in Time, Super Castlevania 4, and I could go on. Incredible games! Some consider Chrono Trigger to be the greatest rpg of all time. Some consider Super Mario World to be the greatest 2D platformer of all time. There's no denying that the SNES was great, and it's good to see it getting some love.
Sadly, I haven't played a lot of good rpgs which are on this list, but here are some of my favorites which I have enjoyed: Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, Secret of Evermore, The World Ends with You, Paper Mario, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, and Mega Man Battle Network 3.
