I never got very far in the first RE on PS1 but I was able to get pretty far in the Gamecube remake. I got stuck at the part with the sharks. Even looking up hints didn't help so I was forced to quit after failing too many times to count. I'll be trying again when the port of that remake appears on PSN January 19th.
I love the first 3 Silent Hill games and have completed them several times. The piano key puzzle in the first game still messes me up and I always forget to pick up a certain important item that can affect your ending. As with the other 2 games there are multiple endings based on your actions.
Honestly I would feel bad about it unless of course they were just like bad people. LOL

Hey Joe where you goin' with that gun in your hand Nah, I'm just particulary put off by that kind of thing. Violence against fictitious aliens and cartoon villains is ok though. :)
I loved Bravely Default in fact I was almost brought to tears by its classic Final Fantasy-ness. :D It wasn't perfect though and I would have liked a little less repetition and hopefully that will come in the sequel.
I also love Child of Light and its combination of art, music and poetry. I haven't finished it yet because of problems with the PS3 version in Chapter 6. I have since moved on to the PC version which so far has been pretty good but I still haven't reached chapter 6.
As for Sonic Boom. It didn't have a snowball's chance in hell of getting any good reviews. Morons on Metacretin were dissing is within hours of release, most had obviously never played the game and just wanted to jump on the hate wagon. Sad really.
If you ask me they could release a Sonic game with everything anyone has ever asked for and the same morons would still write carbon copy diatribes on how much it sucks. Gamers, we make me sick.
Anyway, I wish I'd played some of the Wii U games you mentioned because I'm sure I'd agree with you.

I'm with Cary on this one. I played a few memorable 3DS games this year but nothing on the supposed "big boy" consoles that blew me away. I did enjoy Rainbow Moon until my PS3 had to be given and expensive resuscitation in August. That kinda took the wind out of my sails.
That's why I blew the 20 on the RE remake. I should start playing it on the Wii again so I can make some comparisons when it drops. Frankly I'm not expecting much other than the gamecube's 480p graphics upscaled but I won't have to listen to my Wii disc drive scream while I'm playing it.
Maybe I figure out how that starter pistol is supposed to kill the shark this time.
pardon me while I retch up a lung. That's one series that seriously needs to go away and never return. I'd buy a physical copy for 80 cents if I needed a new coaster.
