I love it when stuff like this happens. Already ordered a copy on Amazon. Don't want to miss out on this one a second time.

This is in addition to that - Notch and Schafer took their talks offline, so we'll hear more about that in the future. This is a small team project that will be something else entirely. Things are really looking up for Double Fine.
I can't figure out why, but I'm much more excited for this game then I rightfully think I should be.
I'm personally really hoping that this happens. Even if it ended up being a DL only title I'd have a hard time not throwing my money at them for this game.
Just a FYI for those wondering who gets what...
Amazon Preoders get the Rockabilly outfit.
Best Buy Preorders get the Golden Foxy Funk and Goth outfits.
Gamestop gets the Evil Dead outfit.
I'm sure even if you don't preorder, you'll be able to download these later for a small fee after launch, though nothing has been confirmed.
I am one of those that wanted to play the game, but couldn't find a reasonably priced copy. No way I'm paying $70 for a DS game, even if it's a particularly good DS game. I'm really hoping this second run comes to fruition so I can pick it up.
I too would be more than surprised if THQ somehow came out of this mess whole. They'll likely get bought up by someone, or they'll start selling off IPs to stay afloat/pay off debts. Though this may be the end of the publisher, their larger IPs will live on.
Having never played Far Cry 2, this really makes me happy. The Simpsons and Final Fantasy V are icing on an already delicious cake. Sony has done well in incentivising me to keep my plus subscription current.
This is more palatable to me than the basic online pass. When you tell me that I can't access a portion of the basic game unless I input a pass I'd be miffed. These are events that are time specific like Call of Duty: Elite's "extra experience" or their tournaments. They aren't important to getting the full game experience. Preordering just determines that you don't have to pay, because even if you buy the game used you'll still have access to everything the base game has to offer.
This is a limited time bonus (first seven weeks of release) that those that preordered get to enjoy for free.
I think Katherine has you going with that one. ;)
