Most of the early part of this year was spent on my 3DS so SMT IV and Bravely Default from there.

On the PS3 I've played older games like Tales of Graces F, Silent Hill 2 and 3 and FF X. Of recent games I can only think of Rainbow Moon for PS3 and on PC the port of Trails in the Sky which is ancient.

I never got sucked into 3D Land the way I did with Mario 64. As far as other 3DS games go I second Joaquim's suggestion for Luigi's Mansion it's way more fun than 3D Land. Donkey Kong Country Returns is another one you should play.

Also for RPGs - Shin Megami Tensei IV is good but the maps suck and it's easy to get lost. Devil Survivor Overclocked is another SMT universe game with a hybrid strategy turn based battle system. Bravely Default is worth a playthrough even with the repetitive second half.(The endgame is worth it)

Remember that the 3DS also plays DS games so there's a ton of great RPGs and other stuff there. Radiant Historia is highly recommended

Anyway it sucks about your PC. If it's not coming on at all the power supply is a good guess.  I'm taking my PS3 to be fixed this week. Another $100 I don't have. :(

Oh and you do need to play the Galaxy games. 

He'll be fine. We're going back on Friday and staying until Sunday. He's got frozen meals until mum gets back so he doesn't have to cook. He used to be a great cook but he's forgotten how to make most things but he can still make toast and a cup of tea when he has to.

I'm hoping mum stops going away after this trip because eventually she won't be able to leave him alone.

Excellent. You get to play with babies and give 'em back when you're done. All the funny with none of the messy maintenance. :)

Holy shit that's warm. I don't think I could stand that kind of temperature for very long. Especially here in Ontario where the heat is accompanied by very high humidity.

It's a Windows 7 laptop not XP so yeah they're still patching away. My Xbox Live Gamertag should be visible on the right hand side of the screen. If not it's AthantosElder. 

That game is a POS. A real disappointment
