I've seen this game at the store but didn't know it was good. Never gave it a second thought, actually, but it sounds pretty cool. I'll definitely get it if I find a good price on it. I remember loving a space dogfight game on PC called Freelancer.

You summed that up very well, thus saving me from having to do it lol. I bought BioShock Infinite new when it came out, but that might be the only full-priced console game I've gotten this year. Can't quite remember. I also came to the HD generation late (having just a Wii before that) and so there are lots of older games for cheap that I haven't played.
Regardless of any other factor, I won't play an MMO with a monthly fee. FF XIV sounds good but...it has that monthly fee. I've never liked MMOs much anyway. The only one I've really gotten into is Guilds Wars 2. My wife and I played it a lot for the first few months of the year but haven't touched it since spring and that's ok because it's subscription-free.
Have fun on your trip! I had a connecting flight in Charles de Gaulle airport in France once but I didn't get to see any of the sights. London and Dr. Who, now that sounds like a good time
I'm glad you liked it, against all odds lol. I'll do my best to get some creepy songs for October. I've got one in mind already...
Not really. I kind of care about achievements. I try to get them but rarely go out of my way for any. Trophies, however, don't have the same draw for me.
There's a similar one (done by someone else) from Contra III. I'll have to post that sometime
Dang, I still need to play this.
Cool stuff! I've played some of these, like Xevious and Breakout, but never on original hardware. It's certainly understandable why arcades declined but it's sad too.
This sounds really cool. Looking forward to what they'll put out.
On a related note: Jenn Frank is the voice of Super Hexagon?! I love Super Hexagon!
