Nope, no Picross games on the Wii U that I know of, so we're blazing a new trail with ours. Kind of hoping that helps, and that Nintendo doesn't suddenly drop one out there unexpectedly.
Yup! That's a great one too. It got a little dicey towards the end since there were some situations where you had to guess, but it was a cool twist on the base Nonogram concept.
We actually played the Picross games on the Gameboy Player on the Gamecube, which definitely helped with the small screen bit. Though it was still a bit cramped. Overcoming that particular problem was a real challenge for our game, but hopefully people like our solution.
Great bundle. I've already got most of these games, otherwise I'd be all over it. Cool idea though, hope we see more of this in the future.
I'll drop you a PM and we'll go from there!
Honestly, things have been a bit slow around here and I've been quite busy trying to finish up my game, so anything you can bring to the table from a review or editorial standpoint would be phenomenal. Love having fresh opinions on the site and seeing content on current games come up, so just let me know!
EDIT - And since that was kind of a side-stepping answer, let's say at least an article a week - but I'm not going to hold you to it. PixlBit writers are empowered to write what they want when they have something to say and aren't writing it just for the sake of doing so.
Let's be honest, this isn't a pro-publication and nobody (including me) is making money on it. I'm in it for the fun of it and once you start taking it too serious, the fun kind of disappears. If that's cool with you, then you'll hang just fine with this crew.
Mario's Picross is a major inspiration for PixlCross! The sequels for it were Japan-only and weren't quite as good as the original, but Chessa and I enjoyed them all.
Man, Plus10Damage asked you to leave? That's kind of shitty. I mean, life gets in the way sometimes and you just can't contribute the way you want to. I wouldn't want to lose a writer just because they get a bit behind. Sorry to hear that.
Anyway, I'm glad you're back here posting regardless of anything and I hope you get past that depression shit. I've never struggled with it myself, but I've been with or around people who have and it's a seriously awful thing. I'm sure I speak for the whole community when I say that we're here for you.
And, if you do get out of that funk and want to contribute on a more official basis somewhere again, feel free to drop me a line. We'd be happy to have you.
Thanks Jamie! Yeah, the Javascript stuff is a bit on the complicated side. But quite frankly, without the help of Dr. Simpson's page, there's no damn way I'd have figured it out by myself either.
