The closest thing you'll get is game of thrones unfortunately. I'd love more dark fantasy stuff made into movies or tv series. I'd love to see stuff like Joe Abercrombie, or Mark Lawrence, or Scott Lynch translated to the screen, since Darker Fantasy is like my favourite genre.

If you want to play Demon's Souls for the lore, I'd suggest reading an intro wiki and picking a sorcerer. Seriously, it makes the game about 50 times easier. But, if you're interested, I highly recommend checking out Vaati's videos on Demon's Souls. It's got some weirdly poignant themes about religion vs intellectualism, existentialism, and nihilism that I think are well worth exploring. I'm honestly thinking about writing a blog about how Souls games portray religion, but I'm going to need to do some research for that one.

I like this more than both. Salt and Sanctuary was alright. A bit of fun but nothing really special. This game man. This is maybe going down as one of my favourites of all time. 30 hours in and I discovered a whole new area with a new ability with some lore that changed the way I thought about everything. I never thought I'd care so much about lore.

For me it was one of those games that became a routine for a while and I was enthralled with it. Then I missed a day and it was like spell broke and I didn't want to play it anymore.

Man, trophies really don't appeal to me. I'm glad they're included though since you and people like my brother seem to get so much out of them. How many hours have you sunk into minecraft now btw?

Man, I am adoring the new MST3k show! The thing I really love is that they're still doing old movies, the effects are still awful, and it's still pretty family friendly. It would have been easy for them to chase current trends or make the show a bit more adult, but I'm so glad they kept the core that made the show.

 I also really liked I am Setsuna. Mechanically, it is very similar to Chrono Trigger as you said. I'd argue that it's more akin to something like FFVI in tone though. I love how sombre it is, and the melancholy nature of the story just spoke to me.

 My main issue with it is pretty much your main issue with it. Too much snow. More variation would have made this game a modern classic.

 I haven't played any of the other games you mentioned unfortunately, but your description of Loot Rascals made me REALLY want another Katamari game. Or at least another game from that team...

I really regret trading Animal Crossing in now. Also, my cat loves your screenshots and keeps trying to lick your character on the screen.

Then buy it! It's $15 and so far I've sank 30 obsessive hours into it. I've still got a lot more to go too! It's a lot shorter though if you don't care about secrets and optional content though.

Idk, I like the art style, and it looks like a cross between Zelda and Dark Souls. They've done 4 2D games, I just think they want to try something different.
