Saints Row 2 is on PS Now. Which is for the better, the PC port is pretty bad.

Oh yeah, the DS one. I might put that one in a reserve slot if this year gives me time.

Go for Saints Row 2. It's like a spiritual successor to San Andreas. The city is more interestingly laid out then the following games, with secret areas. The mini games are better, there is more customization, better radio, is longer.

If I can handle the Wizardry games, I think Earthbound won't be too tough, unless there are some really cryptic puzzles or hints.

Sims 4 is considered to be a step down, but I still had a blast with it. A fantastic change from shooters, swordplay, etc.

I'm really tempted to delve into GTAV. Is the online worth doing, or should I stick with the story?

I'm not feeling Wasteland. If you like the first two Fallout games, there is a CRPG called 'Underrail' that came out recently. I've read some very high opinions of the game.

I think you mentioned Road Trip before when I brought up the genre before.

Are there any other good Sonic games that were fairly recent. Side scrolling, of course. I have the first episode of Sonic 4, but the movement felt heavy.

Yes, it's about the presentation and the attitude, so to speak.  A lot of arcade and 16-bit games were thematically dark but had an attiutde that was spirited or innocent. Think of Miyazaki films or 80s family films that dealt with serious themes or horror. They were not dour or depressive or cynical.

My hardware is way outdated but XCOM runs well.

There are still some bugs. And pathfinding can be pretty terrible, blowing your attempst at stealth and getting you into a firefight you're not prepared for.

BaD Tuesday: Tunes Wishlist 2016

I don't know about anything that's coming out. I think I stopped keeping up on new music after Kanye West's second album came out. It's been older hip hop/electronic/classical and video game music since then.  Just recently I got the Radiant Silvergun soundtrack, and now I'm looking for some Streets of Rage 2 type stuff. My social circle has dwindled down to nothing these past 10 years and I don't have anyone to put me on to new music anymore.  I get some hints from the interent/forums sometimes. I like the new 80s-style synth music that has become popular recently.
