Humble Valiant Comics Bundle

Posted on 09/23/2014 at 11:46 AM | Filed Under Blogs

I remember Valiant but I remember them for their comic trading cards. I can't remember if it was them or another brand who released a set of trading cards, that when you completed the set of 100 or so cards, you put them in the trading card sheets and you could read them like a comic book. I wasn't big into comic books, but I did like trading cards and I thought this was an interesting concept.

PS4 Sneakers

Interesting, a Jordan IV that has been customized for the Playstation. This show is more collectors than anything else (the price is right around where the Nike Air Mag, the Back to the Future sneaker was going for during the  eBay auctions)

When the Playstation 2 was up and running, Nike had a special Air Force 1 edition that was black, and has some purple, blue, and other colors found on the PS2 along with the PS logo on the side of the heel. Super rare sneaker.

Mobile Wednesday: KOTOR and XCom!

This is the game I should have bought instead of the NBA 2K game for my flight. This would probably be the only way I would actually finish KOTOR because I haven't had the urge to fire up the old X-Box. I think Target has a deal on iTunes cards so I might buy this game.

Hell yeah...except I could see folks like me getting motion sickness. I would still try it just so I could do some web slinging.

Nostalgic Vacation: 1988 - Splatterhouse

Posted on 09/23/2014 at 10:58 AM | Filed Under Blogs

I've never played any of the Splatterhouse games, but I do remember wanting to try the 360 game, but I had no 360. For $10 I would give it a try. The custom touches on that cabinet are cool, and I wish a lot more older arcade games were released like that. For someone who grew up trying games based on the graphics, that would have pulled me in.

Nostalgic Vacation: 1987 - Ikari Warriors/Sky Shark

I have Fire Shark on the Genesis, and I think it might have been a sequal to Sky Shark. Didn't know it was on the NES, and it will be a game I want to look for at the local Swapmeet. Fire Shark was cool because it used biplanes. Talk about a fun game.

So wait, the little baby took our community polls? Will he give it back? Tongue Out

Congrats to you both on the baby!

I never knew it was an arcade game. I always thought it was an NES game, learn something new. As for the game itself, I think it was one of those games that we used to be in the stack of games my friends and I would play whenever we brought our games together at someone's house.

Chris' Thoughts On Destiny, And A Couple Of New Tablet Games

I dig games that use phone apps. It adds another level to the game. I had fun using the GTA V app, and I should check the Destiny app more often. There's always messages from a clan I'm either in or following.

I dig it, but I bought the last gen version. I do need to start playing it again, I stopped the past couple of days. I need to find a good chunk of time to devote to it.
