You might like Jak II more than the first, since it's not a platformer or at least not as much of one as the original.
I just preferred the platformer to the GTA clone, so I agree.
You may or may not like them. I actually vastly prefer 2 to 1 and they're pretty standard adventure games, mechanically. The story and production make them stand out, though I do think they're fun.
