Episode 71: B Sides

Daftman, that means a lot! I know we have a lot of listeners that don't comment or write in, but it's always nice to hear from people that enjoy the show. I hope we continue to entertain, as we have some fun stuff coming up.

Free Radical is a great "B studio". I always cite Haze as a game that had a ton of potential but went in the wrong direction.

You get a lot of points for bringing up Hogs of War. And I think I still have my copy of Onechanbara around here somewhere. I think I traded in Bulletwitch though.

I hope people Googled a lot of the games and movies we mentioned. I ended up looking up some video of Britney's Dance Beat to make sure I'm not crazy. I'm not. That game is cool. Also, Patrick Googled Julie K Smith during the show and was not disappointed.

I feel like The Hobbit came out in a time of really solid B-tier games. I associate it with some games I really enjoyed like I Ninja, Sphinx, Metal Arms: Glitch in the System, and of course Beyond Good & Evil.

Did you mean Endgame? Because Killing Joke is from the late 80s, and was the genesis for the character he is today. I still think it's an incredible character study of the Joker, and one of the best encounters between Batman and Joker.

You say that, but what if I told you that Planet Hulk is more of a sci-fi story ala A Princess of Mars (John Carter) than it is a typical Hulk story?

Well, the mic definitely sounds better, but we still haven't been able to get the new software to work the way it needs to. It's in beta, and sadly I am currently editing the new episode like normal. Fingers crossed for things to come together for episode 72!

Each episode of Game of Thrones has taken me about 2.5 hours, so I really wouldn't want to play it all in a row. The schedule that each episode has rolled out has been perfect for me.

I couldn't beat the behemoth and haven't gone back to play more. I am torn between going back and doing everything in the demo, or just waiting until the game comes out. It's a day one purchase for me, but every Final Fantasy has been a day one purchase for me since VII.

I used to play this at the Pizza Hut down the street from my house all the time.

Yeah, if we're talking hurried and without thinking, Panic Restaurant would probably be it, because I can get to it easily. My PS2 games are currently sitting in three huge plastic bins and I'd have to did for it.

Another easy to grab no-brainer is my Lunar 2 complete. I know exactly where that is, and it's one of my crown jewels.
