I wasn't even aware of Dawn of Discovery or that it was Anno 1404. I've always wanted to try those games, and a Wii version sounds like it could be cool.

My son had Bakugan Battle Brawlers on the DS. Even though he somehow enjoyed it at times, it seemed really really bad to me. The two games might be completely different, though.

Yeah, I understand. I'm normally that way too, but have been slowly becoming more and more used to digital only. Just buy both!

You should also consider just buying digitally. See my comments above, but I really think it's the way to go. You'll always have it with you and it's super fast!
