Interesting. Guess I hadn't thought about clowns in games much before. The only one I've played that I can think of is Mr. Do! which is pretty fun. If the guys in Circus Atari are clowns then I like them more, though...

You're not that late! Those are some good picks. Lots of FF love in here, even for XII and XIII, which is interesting since they are fairly divisive.

Well, you can read my lengthy review, but in short I loved it despite its issues. It was set up to basically require an online community and when that was sort of bungled the whole experience dissipated quickly.

As a related aside, running this game digitally from an SD card is amazing. I don't think I'll go back to physical copies for this series ever again. Game saves take about 1 second instead of 20 or so and all the menus are zippy. It makes a huge difference.

The disc and book are still cool, though, so if you gotta have those...

It looks like I should be able to go towards the end. Hopefully it won't be dead when I finally get there. I'll let you guys know how it is.. assuming I can go.

Cool! I had missed the three square one on the light post. That's the most basic one yet... well at least the least video gamey one.

I really like XIII's battle system a lot too. I understand the gripes, but it put me in a nice Zen state that was pretty enjoyable. I never felt like I wasn't having to pay close attention either. Throw in the impact of the somewhat relative position of characters and enemies on the battlefield and I was on edge and having fun most of the time.

Well, between you and Snee it sounds like I should pass on Iron Sky.
