I just have this feeling that if you try to make a big budget remake of those games with voice acting and the whole shebang it will lose a lot of the magic. I have a theory that if you have people start saying the scripts of those games out loud with gravitas and a serious tone it will come off as cheesy. The flipside to that theory is that I think I would have enjoyed the story of FF XIII a lot more if I was just reading it as text. But I know I'm in the minority on that.

I am incredibly humbled. I struggled with this article. I wasn't sure if it was worthy of being a PixlBit piece or should have just been on my personal blog, and sometimes writing personal articles can come across as narcissistic. I am incredibly pleased with the reaction to this piece, and hope it gets people thinking about gaming in a more positive way, especially in light of the past few months. I accept this Hello Kitty ribbon with pride!

If FF VII looks as good as the recent PC port and I can play it on my PS4: SOLD. I don't need a remake (I think it would be a costly mistake for them to do so); I just need it to look good on an HD television. Here's hoping for VIII and IX also.

And that SF V teaser got me all teary-eyed. I've had too many amazing matches over the years, and that hit me in all the feels.

We will definitely have Casey back on the show. As far as the Mass Effect conversation blockade I'm sure I will be talking more about it as (if) I play more Dragon Age. And we should have more info about new BioWare projects next year!

The trades should still be in print also. I stayed with USM for about 10 volumes before dropping off, but they were all fantastic.

Life punched me in the nuts a lot this year, so I'm looking to turn the tables next year for sure.

One thing I always wish I could say when the violent video game thing comes up in the media is how video games allow me to focus on something else when I'm in a bad mood. Back in the GTA 3 days if I was having a bad day I would fire up the game and go on a rampage until I died. Then I'd go do a story mission and before long I was focused on making story progress and a lot of the aggravation from the day was gone.

I only recently learned that the constant internal monologue is an introvert thing. Now that I'm aware of it I can't stand it and I just want to shut my mind up.
