Dude, how awesome would be if Sega really did make a Fantasy Zone Collection. I'd soooo buy it.

I liked all the music in Super Mario Land as a kid. BUt my absolute favorite is the Asian motiff of the Chai Kingdom.
Double Dragon II is my favorite of all the Double D. games out there. This one was perfectly balanced (especially of the three DD games on the NES).
Are you serious? PSN in Europe got it in English? Then what was all that crap about it being too difficult to emulate the english version? I gotta look into this before starting my review of this game.
Agreed, Angelo. I'm loving the participation here.
It's funny-- I had the same idea rolling around in my head just a couple of days ago. I was thinking about giving myself a little challenge to play and review all the FF games in my possession that I haven't played or completed yet in a year as well. I don't if that'll realistically work though. Here's the FF games I have that are wither unplayed or unfinished so far:
Final Fantasy II (FF Origins, of course).
Final Fantasy IV (FF Chronicles)- Got about halfway through the game back in 2001, but later fell in love with Crono Trigger and kicked FF IV to the curb.
Final Fantasy V & VI (FF Anthology)
Final Fantasy X (PS2 version)- Still brand new, never been opened. Actually at this point, I kinda feel like I should get the HD version. I'm scared that I'll be missing out with the graphically inferior PS2 version.
I'm very tempted to skip FF II (at least until I play the others) because I keep hearing it's so bad and I don't want to waste my time playing the one FF game that i might not like because of the wonky level-up method.
Hey Cary, I read your review a couple of days ago. I didn't realize you had mentioned to the things about the emulation issues. But I agree...I would have rather that they'd not released it at all.
Also, I checked out your original review in the Dallas newspaper. Very cool stuff!
Best NWP I've heard since I got here to PixlBit. I might have to start reviewing all the FF games I currently have in my collection.
Thanks for the inspiration guys!
As a matter of fact, I do a have Tomba 2 for review! And yeah, I was bummed when Nick told me that it was also in Japanese. But I noticed on their website that they mentioned that there were too many problems with emulating the US version, so they chose to go with the import instead. Kinda still sucks though.
Funny you mentioned Wolf Fang. I need to review that game for PixlBit, as it turns out. It's quite an unique shooter though. And I ended up liking it more than I thought I would.
