Better than what the drummer boy brought.

I tried it, but they don't let you modify controls for the horizontal camera axis, which completely confused me. I love what I've played so far, but I really can't stand taking hits because I move the camera left instead of right. They do let you invert the vertical one though, so I'm surprised they didn't add a horizontal reversal option to the re-release while they were adjusting all the art assets.
I played the original and really enjoyed it. It completely fell out of my mind until this article though. It's like they threw the franchise into the cornfield and just let it vanish.
So... static or slightly animated pictures with 3D enhancements? I dunno about this one either honestly. Myst was awesome only because it came out in the 90's. People had never seen this kind of thing before. It's not really a game you got back to play again today I don't think.
I still have no street passes. I'll have to steal the kids 3Ds tonight while they are sleeping and make sure they are configured to allow street passes. I know I set up a bunch of parental controls on those things, but i'm pretty sure I allowed street passes.
@ Nick. No kidding. Yeah it sure is a small world. You gotta tell me how you ended up in Florida sometime. I'm jealous. It sucks up here in the winter.
I'll have more information after Christmas. Both of my boys are getting 3DS consoles.
I hear ya. Thing is, I really got my hopes up thinking reviewers were hard on the game because of the cultural differences, not because the game has issues. Maybe I had some unappreciated gem on my hands. Truth is the gripes are accurate. I never even got into my issues with the cooking system. It's awesome, it's fun, but it's far from perfect.
That being said, I see no reason why I won't get as much quality time out of it as you did. I'm having a blast.
It's not just you.
I have my 3ds on me constantly. I've been to 3 Gamestops, the Crossgates mall (one of the biggest malls in the country I believe,) and I work in the Albany Concourse. I have yet to receive a single street pass. That can't be right.
And yes, I have the WiFi on.
Nice list, plenty of interesting titles here.
YIKES! Fixed! Guess I just had to screw up one of my very first articles huh?
