AWESOME!
AWESOME!
I always had a feeling that Kinect will be $150 and I still think that it's a horrible price for a hardware add-on. The Kinect console bundle is a little less than desirable but I can understand the focus on casual players.
Even though I enjoyed the first Crackdown title due to how fresh it felt especially after playing numerous GTA titles, I was stunned how forgettable the sequel is. To me the game feels extremely rushed, and the only reason why it's still fun is because it retains all the enjoyable elements from the first title.
In my opinion, Crackdown 2 as a whole is unpolished, whereas titles like Infamous and Prototype seem much more unique and enjoyable since they have much more versatility in the mechanics and give you much more freedom. If there is a Crackdown 3, I really hope the developers do something amazing with it.
Perhaps my biggest issue with the game is that the major tasks in Crackdown 2 revolves around the project Sunburst missions, taking over Cell strongholds, and stopping freak breaches. To me it feels like the developers didn't even try to make the game feel unique at all and it ended up being repetitive since those three main missions types feel fundamentally the same.
If I had to score this game, I would give it a 3/5.
Day one purchase for me, though if you read my Etrian Odyssey feature you won't find that surprising.
The regular Classic Controller is by no means a bad controller, in fact it's a very good controller that has served me well for a couple of years and are still holding up well. However, after using a Pro, it's a little hard to go back to a regular Classic Controller.
Nick, a lot of reviews I state that this game is laughably bad and is a poor soul calibur clone. I never really had strong hopes for this title and yet it's getting bad reviews.
I technically didn't waste money on this but I did waste my promo 500 Nintendo points card on this.
Kathrine, in Japan there was a retail and a digital download version of this title. Rising Star Games is doing a physical and downloadable version as well in Europe.
If XSEED goes by the Japanese prices then the WiiWare and DSiWare versions will most likely be 1,000 points each, which can be a little steep for some considering that the Wii version is $29.99 and the DS version is $19.99.
The game is actually pretty good. It's no where near Super Mario Galaxy 1 or 2 but still a very good game.
