I'm not sure but I would assume it was a previous build. From the video captures, it looks real good to me.
I've been watching the videos posted by ShadowOfRuki and from the looks of the gameplay, this build looks done. There were a few things I noticed that were off but this is completely playable and it looks like only a few bugs are the issues.
That's okay with me. At this point, I don't look to Mario games for originality. They're safe titles. You're not going to be blown away but you will have a lot of fun with them because it's a formula that works and they don't release them every year so it doesn't get stale.
I need a freaking 3DS now man! I was addicted to New Super Mario Bros on the DS. Must own! I'm tweaking over here!

Off the top of my head, I can't remember a video game I was playing from my other senses. Something I didn't mention in this blog. I guess it's because music is so prevalent to me, that's what my mind focuses on.

Jason, it's much worse. MUCH WORSE! Dialog in Colors is meant to be funny and doesn't take itself seriously. Sonic 2006 is supposed to be super serious and turns into *SPOILERS* a love story. *shutter* Also, the lip sync is completely off.
Some say that Sonic's lowest point was Unleashed. I haven't played that so I can't say for sure but Sonic 2006 is god awful. If I were to rate it today on PixlBit based on my memories on the game, it would be a 1/2 star, unless a 0 is possible.
I am the self proclaimed Sonic and Sega fan here at PixlBit and this game made me stop playing Sonic games for 5 years. I didn't try a Sonic title until last November, when I rented Sonic Colors. I bought this game brand new when it came out in 2006 on the 360. I was so bored, so frustrated, so disappointed and so creeped out (the story gets worse) I traded the game in towards another Sega game, Virtua Fighter 5. That worked out better.
