I played and finished Bayonetta a week ago. It was a lot of quick fun, but I'm not really a fan of this brand of zaniness/comedy. So I ended up skipping all of the cutscenes.

I saw the trailer at Dunkirk and Baby Driver. Not really interested despite looking like it will have some good action.
I'm the opposite when it comes to Dunkirk and Baby Driver. Dunkirk was intense for me start to finish (thanks to Hans Zimmer's score) and I really felt for some of the characters despite how little screen time they had.
Baby Driver was just okay for me. While I like some of the comedy and the soundtrack, the story seemed kind of cliche and the ending felt like they were really trying to force you to root for the main character (despite the fact that he downright killed a guy and, in turn, was kind of at fault for that one girl's death).
I miss the turn-based combat in Final Fantasy XV, but I can understand why they want to appeal to a larger audience with games getting more expensive to make and all. But yeah, the game is still reallly good regardless. Plus, fans got like two decades worth of turn-based games.
Hope you enjoyed the last part of FMA Brotherhood as much as I did. Though I have my doubts if it's been years since you watched the other parts.
The Halo 4: Spartan Ops missions get repetitive really fast. Playing on the same levels over and over with boring enemy placement is not very fun. If you're playing co-op you'll probably enjoy them more though.
Yeah, Tailspin is okay. The collection is worth a try. Even though they're short, six games for $20 is not a bad deal.
Yeah, I got the Xbox 360 versions of Midway Arcade Origins. And I can now say I'm not a huge fan of Midway either retro or non-retro games.
I also missed out on the Disney Afternoon games. I didn't get to play much NES until my teen years and that was when the PS2 was already out.
I enjoyed Defender and Joust as well. Actually, I played those years ago and enjoyed them quite a bit more than I did when I revisted them with this collection. I was flipping through so many games that I probably didn't give many of them a fair shake. I also played a different, more low-fi, version of Root Beer Tapper a long time ago. I can't remember if it was the Tapper that you mention.
On the subject of a compilation of Nintendo Arcade Hits, have you played Ultimate NES Remix for 3DS or Wii U? It just might be the closest thing to what your looking for. It doesn't include any full games other than "Speed Super Mario Bros." It is basically a collection of challenges from Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Mario Bros. and various other NES games from Nintendo.
Yeah, they obviously weren't meant to be played with the rewind feature. I can imagine it taking weeks to finish a game without it.
I've been keeping an eye on Momodora. It looks really good. They recently announced Momodora V, which is in 3D, but it isn't sitting well with the fans at all.
Mega Man 9 certainly upped the difficulty, not so sure about Mega Man 10 though. They even have an achievement in Mega Man 10 of beating the game taking no damage. With some of the earlier Mega Man games that's just not feasible.
The DAC is good, but I was expecting something closer to the quality of the Mega Man LC (as it was by the same developers).
