House party, Spamalot, SFA football wins rivalry/playoff spot

Nope, what I remember is the dynasty comparable to the Yankees or the 90s Cowboys in the early 2000s. Entirely different perspective. lol

I have to give Tom Brady credit, he shut up all his naysayers real fast after that rocky start this season. Doesn't mean I don't want to see Aaron Rodgers, Jordy Nelson, Eddie Lacey, Clay Matthews and the rest of the Packers shut him down. lol

I think a lot of movie critics in the 80s and 90s had his problem. A dumb fun piece of entertainment? HIDE THE KIDS, SOCIETY IS DOOMED!!! Even Ebert did that a couple times with certain things, which is why we have The Cinema Snob today. Love both those guys and would probably like Ellison's work too. Entertaining even if I disagree.

I disagree about Black Dahlia Murder being metalcore, but I've gotten way less pedantic about this stuff since high school. I'll say I think they're awesome and leave it at that.

I've honestly come to not care too much about subgenres. If I HAD to choose, I guess thrash.

Lol at the Gremlins review.

I enjoy melodic death metal like Black Dahlia Murder or Death.

Black metal is one of my least favorite subgenres. I don't think the low-fi nature works in its favor quite like it does for old punk bands and some of the shit these bands have done really is heinous.

Having said that, I did like the stuff you said you liked as well as Agalloch. I don't hate black metal, it's just not something that's going on my iPod. Then again, I suck at putting anything on my iPod.

Looks like I won't be finishing Child of Light

That sucks, anyway to get a refund?

The Seahawks are so weird this year. Like they seem to be way less dangerous than last year, but everyone still takes them seriously and they're always in the top 10 power rankings seemingly regardless of who they lose to. But I guess that's the correct way to view them, cause the final was 19-3 against the Cards.

Nice get on the Dragon Age!

Haven't had the time for football or music? Either one deserves attention, so I wouldn't feel too guilty losing focus on one or the other for a short time. I really need to pick my guitar up again. Itching to learn the "R U Mine?" riff from Arctic Monkeys.

My regimen is based on gaining lean muscle and losing body fat for a 5'9" 165-ish pound male (on average, think I'm a bit below that currently) at 24 years old with low flexibility in his ankles (though I think all that wound up meaning was doing goblet squats instead of regular squats to improve form ... should probably ask if I need to "graduate" now or if the goblet squats are good either way). So ... mileage may vary for all I know. haha

I too would be a wide receiver if I played football. Whenever we used to play just for fun at recess (with a tennis ball) that's what I did. I've also had people tell me I'd be a good QB given my build and some of the times I've done that while playing for fun (my older brother said I hurt his chest how I nailed the ball to him every time one Thanksgiving lol). Yet when I actually played in 7th grade I was either O-line or TE. Pretty much the only big play I remember is a block I made as TE my dad always tells me allowed a TD. Did it? Hell if I know, I barely knew what was happening at the time.

They actually did put me at WR one practice, but it didn't go well. You'd think me as the bookworm type, I'd be ok with learning routes, but I did my best when they told me to just choose someone to hit. lol

Lol. Either way it's the Cowboys fault if the Giants manage to shake them up and Phili will deserve the win Thursday if they get it (which I obviously hope they don't). I'm hoping that doesn't happen, so there'll be the great game I've been expecting this Thursday. Then again, maybe a loss to the Giants will piss the Cowboys off and they'll play better? Hoping this anything-can-happen part of the season plays in our favor. I'll be watching tonight in my office while I do some homework.

I agree it is even, especially since we have home field advantage, but a desperate division rival is something we unfortunately have to take seriously. Which is why I'm hoping we at the very least keep this Thanksgiving game close, but am beginning to think the rematch may wind up being a better game. Then again, maybe not, cause Dez and Murray had a field day against the Giants last time. If that happens again, I'll expect a better game Thursday.

Either way, whoever wins T-day will deserve to.
