What's funny is that I don't recall seeing Kung-Fu Master in any arcade places. And yes, Vilgilante was the spiritual sequel to Kung Fu. Have a review of it somewhere. I'll be re-writing it and posting here in due time.

At first, I couldn't get past the sticker fighter either because he strikes so fast. But I found it easiest to just crouch an kick him from a distance. And yeah, that boomerange definitly shares some similarities with Legend of Zelda. They probably used the same sound asset.
Funny you should mention Kung-Fu Master. I have a review of the NES version in the works that will be posted soon.
Aw man, I missed it! Didn't know about it until I came to the site tonight. I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled for an update from you regarding another playthrough. It looks interesting.
Yeah, subscriptions are what keep me away from any game. The fear is that ill be continually paying for something that I might not play often enough for it to be worth the price.
I remember reading about the Decathlon games and having to move the joystick back and forth to simulate movement. Honestly, it doesn't sound like much fun, but maybe it's one of those situations where I had to have ”been there” to understand how good it was.
I downloaded it on my PS4 a a few weeks ago. I do plan on getting into it for the first time pretty soon. Just need to finish Persona 4 and FF7 Remake.
I definitely recommend playing Blaster Master Zero on the Switch. I hear Blaster Master Zero 2 is good as well.
I'm sure you'll enjoy what the game has to offer. Much of the game's difficulty is with the boss battles later, but you stand a good chance of making it pretty far in the game as long as you are very careful.
Yeah, the Japanese version had a more interesting story, but that was typical of games that had a US counterpart...especially if it was a Konami game. The American arm of that company didn't give much importance to the story of their early NES games.
