After all the money Telltale made off the last season, one would think it could upgrade its game and graphics engine to something matching modern day standards. As for the story, which is really the reason we all play these titles anyway, I hear it doesn't stand on its own as well as previous installments. In other words, it's not as self-contained and will require future episodes to show why this first one is worthwhile.

Personally, I'm more anxious for the second Wolf Among Us, whenever the heck that's supposed to come out.

Wasn't the character Necrid in this sequel? My friends used to laugh at how overpowered he was--one could just repeatedly press a button to perform all sorts of crazy moves.

Hey Cary, by the way, nice avatar icon! In case you're interested, Namco just released eight new mazes to the original Pac-Man arcade game on iOS. Not all of them are winners, but it's still kinda of a neat update--one 33 years in the making, you could say!

It's funny how the old 8-bit and 16-bit games still seem to hold up the best, or at least stand out the most. My personal favorite is Link's Awakening, which is really the game that demands a remake if there ever was one. The Minish Cap on the GBA is also criminally underrated.

The Guardian Legend and Sigma Star Saga are two more worthwhile shooter/RPGs. Hadn't heard of this one, though. Sounds interesting. 

My biggest complaint with this series is simply the overall price--according to one article I read, to experience the entire game, the bare minimum one would have to pay is about $180.00. BARE MINIMUM. No game is good enough to merit that kind of cost, but there's no accounting for taste, it seems, especially when kids are involved.

Was hoping for a My Blaster Runs Hot sequel included therein. Ah well.

Nintendo lost my exclusive loyalty during the PSone era, but I still remained a strong Nintendo advocate until, perhaps ironically, the Wii started dominating the competition. In my eyes, the truly revolutionary titles were happening on the other consoles, and I eventually broke down and bought a 360 (the Wii was actually my first "next-gen" system). And then a PS3 (which is now my favorite of the three).

That said, I still look forward to newest Mario games, and hope to one day see a brand new F-Zero, Star Fox, 2-D Metroid, and the like. But I also think that's the Big N's biggest problem these days--the company now lives in the past, basking in the safe nostalgia of its core franchises. But that's not the visionary company I remember growing up with.

I'm actually a bigger fan of Strider 2 than the first one, having enjoyed its stylish visuals and adrenaline-pumping music back in the PSone era. But is this new title a true Metroidvania-type of experience, or are there still specific levels to be played out in order? Anyway, glad Capcom is revisiting the series.

Totally understand the being poor thing. I think the project will make it, though--at least through the first goal.
