I missed out playing this one. I hardly ever bought NES games back then, only rented them, because I was just a kid with a very limited income. And either this wasn't available at the PayLess Video near my house, or it was always rented out.
It's just pretty challenging and goals can be unclear most of the time.
EarthBound isn't a very good RPG for novices. The last boss is just weird, not scary.
Lots of good memories playing this game with my little brother Jeff. We sitll joke that when he was little, if I accidentally took the pizza, he'd whine, "Mooooommm! Cary took the pizza!" Granted he was really young when he did that!
