That's what I thought. What am I gonna do? Well, I could do the same thing at another store, but I'm kind of tired of it, so I'm spending some time looking for other options. I have a little money saved up and some family support that'll get me through. I'm spending all of September doing the job search thing and, now I think of it, soul searching as well. In a way, it's a good time because I'm really working hard to figure out what I want to do. None of us has forever, I have to decide now. 

I thought today that it's a little bit like an MMO except it's just Mark and I. There's a big open world and lots of stuff to do. Despite the simple graphics, the vistas are surprisingly impressive. I climbed out of a mine today at the top of a mountain and it was snowing. Our village was down in the valley far below and it just looked amazing. 

I usually avoid signing in to anything other than my console before playing a game. Uplay came up when I played Child of Light, but I ignored it. I got enough things I have to sign into already. 

Man, Wired's Game/Life Podcast today was talking about how many of the triple-A games now are going to have in-game purchasing options. Ugh. I find it scary to have such things within a game. The temptations are too much. 

I love dogs, but I haven't had one since High School, and can't have one where I live. I have virtual dogs in Minecraft instead. They are really stupid in that game though: they walk right into lava, fall down mine shafts, get blown up by creepers. You can't let them alone for a minute. 

I always try and do the right thing and gently transition to something new when there's trouble but sometimes it's so bad I can't take it. Call me weak, but I got my limits. 

Hey, it's The First Templar. I played the demo for that on Xbox a while back. I believe it had co-op, so I wanted to play it. It was kind of a budget title when it came out, but sometimes those games can be fun. I'll pick it up someday - can't beat 43 cents. 

Oh no! Bandit! Sounds like he was begining to suffer too much though. So sad.

You mean you didn't have to pay to get past that one boss? Just kidding. Sounds a lot like the moment in a free-to-pay game where they make it hard to encourage you to pay to get through it. 

Having your own zoo in a game is neat.
