Telltale Announces Back to the Future and Jurassic Park Games

Posted on 06/09/2010 at 07:35 PM | Filed Under News

The Back to the Future ride that used to be at Universal Studios actually showcased what could become very compelling gameplay through it's storyline: 1985 Biff stole a Delorean and you have to chase him through time, essentially.

While I don't think they'll be able to match the "See life through your parent's eyes" story that was so compelling through the first part, it has potential to be good fun.

Jurassic Park, though, that I'm not sure about.

Personally, I'd like to collect meerkats in space in the year 2099, then draw a line for them to get run over by a disc golf. Of course, this would only be possible in the topsy-turvey world found at the top of faraway trees you can only reach by catching thirty fish.

That's just me, though.

I'm sure it'll be more painful to put on the show than to watch. I'm pretty sure that by the time this thing is over, someone will end up with something broken.

Banjo-Kazooie

I liked both Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie, but for different reasons.

With BK, I definitely love that it's simple enough to go into a world, collect just about everything, and leave. It's not like Super Mario 64, where multiple trips are necessary, leaving you to trudge through the same area several times, if you play it right.

Of course, notes and Jinjos can negate what I'm saying easily. What don't I like? Only one animal can attack. I'd rather let them all attack, personally. That way, you can at least get honeycombs.

Also, if you're someone like Chris, there aren't enough honeycombs in the game. Last time I saw him try to play, he'd intentionally take damage, collect nearly every note, then run out of honeycombs to refill health before he got them all. It was sad.

Oh, also, I'm planning to make this thing competitive. I call Blue Toad (Buckin' Berry, or whatever he wants to be called), and I plan to end with more lives than any of my fellow gamers there, through whatever means necessary, especially sabotage.

They have no chance survive.
Also, tell Hillhouse I know he's been ballot-stuffing.

Korg DS-10 Plus Review

I hate to flat out say this, but I think I'd be better served waiting on a later edition of the program on a more powerful platform if I were to get this, mostly because I think the DS provides mediocre sound quality for where we're at.

Added SD card or file-transfer functionality would be a major selling point to me, too, but sound quality would be my #1 concern for right now.

So you're saying I should stream it while I watch it?

Hmm...
