Battle of the Bios!

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, welcome to the first weekly installment of Who Would Win! Today we have a fine bout between an armored titan with a drill-arm, and a colossal beast forged of steel and humanity. The rules are simple; this is a best of three scenario with each round taking place within an arena catering to each nemesis, with a third area selected as a neutral field.  So Who Will Win? Will it be the Big Daddy who has an insatiable lust for drilling his opponents? Or will it be the Handyman, with incredible strength and agility? You decide!

Video games had an exceptional year in 2013, with tiny indie teams getting attention for their creativity, and the usual budget behemoths stealing national headlines for their record-breaking sales. Two new consoles also hit the scene right at the end with a few titles that did their best to break into our top five.

Backloggers Anonymous System Shock 2 Part 1

Ok, well it's not exactly part one...

So, funny story, I think Backloggers Anonymous is cursed when it comes to handling games designed by Irrational. The reason? Well, this is actually our second first recording for System Shock 2. The first one somehow disappeared from my computer after we recorded it, and the backup is gone too. I half expected SHODAN to email me something like I'VE DELETED YOUR PODCAST, INSECT, but that didn't happen, so I'm gonna chalk it up to the curse.

Bioshock Infinite Review

Infinite Praise

The wait for BioShock Infinite has been extremely long for some. I however, failed to realize the hype until I finally finished the original BioShock just a mere six months ago. Though I experienced the game late, its effects still resonated with me, and I found myself extremely excited for more. Ken Levine’s promises sounded fascinating: A living breathing world, a constant and helpful partner, and a refinement to the core BioShock action. The only question for me was “can Irrational Games pull it off?” After finishing BioShock Infinite, I can easily say… yes.
