Cruis'n USA is not a great game. It's a solid rental though. I wouldn't say it's better than Forza and Gran Turismo, because they're completely different styles of racing games, but I do like Cruis'n USA more, as I don't like realistic racers either.

Don't hate on California! Los Angeles may suck but we've got San Francisco and San Diego, as well as all the great forests and beaches that don't have crocodiles and alligators in them.

I CARE ABOUT NEO GEO!!! Although those two recent releases suck.

Joaquim's the man. Media king!

Crocodiles and alligators rock. Why go to a museum when you can see living dinosaurs, man? Cruis'n USA is fun to play. That's all there is to it. To me, Forza and Gran Turismo are not fun to play. I would gladly take a copy of any Cruis'n game (including the Wii's "Cruis'n,) than receive any sort of copy of any of those realistic racers.

And seriously, there's a few decent games for the Neo Geo, but any title that was worth anything typically received an upgraded port to a more manageable home console. Look at King of the Monster 2. Neo Geo version was terrible, SNES version had some quality gameplay for the time, at least.

If you want a Cruis'n game, play Cruis'n World. That's one's pretty decent. Or better yet, play Daytona USA or Outrun or for something more recent, Burnout 3.

Samurai Shodown, Art of Fighting, Metal Slug, Aero Fighters, King of Fighters, Fatal Fury, The Last Blade, World Heroes all great series on the Neo Geo and not all of them have been redone and some (KOF) shouldn't have been. Plus there's some little known titles that are great, like Eightman, Shock Troopers, and Breakers.

I don't really enjoy realistic racing games either, but I'd really rather have some element of car combat thrown in, like the Burnout series, F-Zero, or even Rock N' Roll Racing.  I played the crap out of that last one on the SNES.
