Nerds Without Pants Episode 48: Back in the Saddle

More like "bored" games, amirite?

Sorry folks, but this one is coming in hot! As in, recorded less than twelve hours ago hot. So apologies for another rough episode. We almost didn't record this week, but life, ah, ah, finds a way.

Lots of stuff is touched upon this time, with a little E3 mop up, Angelo's beef with Fable, Julian's apathy towards video games, and ABSOLUTELY NO WORLD CUP TALK. Oh, we probably talk about Maleficent for a long time, but not nearly as long as Angelo talks about board games or Patrick talks about comics. So yay? I don't know. We'll do better next time. I promise.

Didnt know you picked up WWE 2k14. Thought you were gonna wait for 2k15 on ps4, but I hear 14 was great anyway. Glad you like it though. I really enjoyed 13 myself.

As for Destiny, I think you'll like it Julian. Multiplayer is the reason I fell in love with it BUT it is definitely enjoyable if you want to play alone as well. If you like Borderlands/Halo/Mass Effect you'll find something to enjoy. I really dug it.

Shovel Knight is awesome Julian, and you should give it a chance!

Um...thats all I remember I wanted to comment on for now. Tongue Out

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Review

It’s been a long time since we’ve seen an entry in the Metroid Prime series - 18 years, in fact. It was 8 years ago that Metroid Prime 4 was originally announced and its development was more than a little turbulent. Initially developed by Bandai Namco, it was later scrapped completely and development was shifted back to Retro Studios to start the project over. In the end, Retro has delivered a solid new entry in the series, but one that doesn’t totally capture what originally made the series so compelling.
