Thank you for the reminder that I really need to go grab the newest issue of Trees before it disappears.

I too prefer fighters to shooters in multiplayer. However, I would not be competitive online at either. The main reason that preference exists for me is that I always know what's happening in fighters. I still have trouble navigating large 3D maps in shooters.

Enjoyed the Multiplayer anxiety topic.  Glad i'm not alone.  I've been playing MMO's (mostly solo) for years and I still can't shake the anxiety I feel when grouping for dugeon instances.  I think it's mostly that fear of screwing something up, which is silly but does have merit. The other thing is time constraint.  I have a family and I can't dedicate hours to something, as someone mentioned in the podcast.  So I don't play MMO's much these days ;).  But I do like how Rift and now FFXIV borrowed the public quest system Warhammer introduced.  I need more nerdy friends...

You and me both! I had a great group of nerdy friends that I played Pathfinder with, but it all went south and I don't talk to them anymore. I'm glad you could relate to the show. Really felt like I put myself out there and was alone in the wind, since the episode seemed to be a total dud.
