I forgot to mention God of War 4. Im pretty sure we will see that as well!
E3 2011 Predictions
The staff lends their best guesses for what the upcoming show has to offer excited gamers.
Matt R's Predictions
Bombs will drop and shields will be shattered at this year's E3.
Sony and Microsoft will continue with Move and Kinect for their next consoles, which will be bigger, better, and more expensive than ever. And hopefully more secure.
Nintendo's Project Cafe's controller has been confirmed to have a touchscreen (and camera?!); coupled with the 3DS's feature-heavy tech, it looks like the company is aiming for an everything-and-the-kitchen sink approach to gaming. I'm guessing the controller will also include a mini Wii remote or simply a wireless IR pointer/heart sensor that can clip on to the back of the controller screen. Of course, with great power comes great cost, so the Cafe (and its controllers) will most likely be premium priced ($300 is certainly not out of the question). We will get to see the shape of the console and hear a few other broad details like a modestly improved, more integrated online system, but the price and release date will remain secret for as long as possible.
Since this is also a transition year, there will be a lot of filler material while they work on Cafe's launch: a new Kirby Wii, Wii Play: Motion, Wii Music 2, and Zumba 2 will all be demonstrated for about 25 minutes, to the crowd's dismay.
In addition, Iwata will have pie charts, sales stats, and everything you needed to know about winning over the next generation of gamers, as well as the affirmation of the importance of good third party relations.
Where are the 3DS games? What about Zelda? Someone will shout.
At that point, Miyamoto will soar over to the stage on a fire-breathing dragon, pluck the inquisitive attendee from their seat in mid-air, and fling them through a side door. After unmasking the dragon as none other than Reggie Fils-Aime, we will be wowed with a demonstration of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword's motion-controlled swordplay, a dragon companion for transportation, a unique art style, and the surprising inclusion of co-op play. After making victory laps around the building to celebrate the DS and Wii's undeniable sales superiority over their competitors (a spectacle replete with confetti, chocolate treats, epic poetry readings, and fireworks), Reggie will transform back into a dragon and burn the Nokia Theater stage to the ground to demonstrate how hot of a product the Cafe will be next Fall 2012.
There will be no other press conferences.
