There's only one game for Chrono Crossing that comes to mind for 1985: Super Mario Bros. It was really awesome for its time. My friends, cousins, and I spent hours at a time on this game. What else can you say about the game that single-handedly resurrected home video games from the dead in the USA?

And yes, I did indeed have a number of completely inappropriate responses to the last question. But you gotta admit, that question was pretty out there. Listening to the podcast, it is good to know that my worries about going over the line were completely unfounded. :)

I guess that I can go with Super Mario Brothers for Chrono Crossing...  I can't say that there is anything else that I really spent time with from 1985.
It is a classic for a reason, eventhough I prefer playing later games in the series there is something undeniable about the original.  Probably my favourite thing to do when playing is to get above the top blocks in the underground stages and bypass all of the hazards.

Great episode guys. Didn't get a chance to comment on the last one but it was a blast. Definitely helped me pass the time at work. I actually thought of going Princess Peach for stage select, slap some whip cream down and.... moving on.

I'm with you on bacon Julius. It's good but one of those things I can only eat in small doses. Too much and I lose the interest.

Anyways got to say I'm gonna miss Chrono Crossing. The song that leads to Chrono Crossing was always a joy. I guess it can technically come back at the beginning of next year.

Chrono Crossing: Super Mario Bros.
It has to be this for me. It is the oldest memory I have of videogames. It started me on my path of games which has never wavered since. I even learned how to play it with the NES controller upside down since I was left handed and it felt weird the normal way.

Can't wait for Nier Automata talk. I just beat it, amazing game.

Hopefully I'm not too late to comment here. Stuff's been busy, so I apologize if that is the case.

My final chrono crossing pick is of course Super Mario Brothers. I remember watching my older brother in awe as he would get 99 lives off of a level exploit and then beat the game. I remember having my mind blown when I discovered the warp world for the first time. I remember watching my stoner uncle try in vain to beat the first level of the game. Ah, the memories. I will miss you chrono crossing. Hopefully whatever you are replaced with will allow me to make more Chun Li jokes than ever before.

My episode comment! Julian... you read my stage select absolutely perfectly. I was so happy with that. I had to stop working I was laughing so hard. It was everything I envisioned and more. Also steering in video games is nearly impossible for anyone. I believe theres a diaconnect because you dont actually feel anything move. I have no idea, but its ad and it should feel bad. Also I was super honored to have a catch phrase quoted. That made my life. Great show as always!

I'm really glad it played well. Sometimes, I do these bits and wonder if I'm the only one who thinks they're funny. Thanks for being a good sport!

Yeah, Julian's right on 1985. You can only go with Super Mario Bros, but I feel Gauntlet and Carmen Sandiego at least deserve shout outs.
