I'm glad so many people tuned in!
Also, please let me know if the embedded videos slow down PixlBit's page too much. I don't believe it will, but in the event it does, I'll separate them onto their own pages.
Join Chris and Jason as they play through some original stages made by Kathrine in New Super Mario Bros. Wii Monday night. The PlayBit is over, but you can click through to catch the full rerun!
Remember Reggie!, the New Super Mario Bros. stage editor released back in 2010? PixlBit staff member Kathrine Theidy has used Reggie! to create 36 New Super Mario Bros. Wii stages, and Chris and I played through. Catch the rerun of the PlayBit inside!
I loved watching the let's play guys, but how can we play it ourselves? :(
Kathrine is considering letting the stages out for others, but she wanted to make some touch-ups before this happened, including fixing the one broken stage earlier. I'm not sure when they'll be read to be released, but I'll do my best to get the word out when that happens.
Well, I tipped off GoNintendo that we had the package of stages up and available, but it doesn't look like it'll be featured on there, unfortunately. If you're reaching this page through their link from earlier, check out this link. That has the stages and links to things you'll need to set up the homebrew channel and Riivolution on your own Wii.
Hooray! This was the best PlayBit yet! But no really, very entertaining, some of the antics between you two are priceless. Here are just some of my favourite moments from it:
Video 1, World 2-3: It's fun to watch you guys try to climb this stage. Try using teamwork next time! This one has some of the best quotes from the night, such as:
"You're small, and I am... a much better person."
"I didn't know I could run through them, I ran through the donut."
"Donuts have holes!"
Video 1, World 3-5: Nice try bouncing on the cannons together. Needs a lot of coordination on that one.
Video 3, World 3-Castle: Why did someone want Chris to hold a bomb until it exploded? Did they think it'd fit his self-destructive play style? We certainly saw that in this stage, given all the P-switches that were hit... Lots of explosion action in this stage, I hope that you enjoyed all the bombs!
Video 3, World 4-4: I hoped you liked the surprise in the pipe. To make it better, you both were then killed by Goombas when you tried the stage again, which was funny because Jason is always badgering Chris about getting hit by Goombas!
Video 3 and 4, World 4-Castle: Some more fun antics as you both attempt what appeared to be the most challenging stage for the two of you. Watch out for that trap at the end!
Video 4, World 5-2: Wall kicks are hard to coordinate...
