Pixlbit Can Haz New Staff Writer?

Doo-ay!

Hey everyone! My name is Chris Mabrey, and I’m happy to be your newest writer here at Pixlbit.

I’m here to hadouken linearity, Bob-omb the bombastic, and Life 3 ingenuity. I love games and their industry, and I’m very excited to be here. I’m an avid reader of gaming news and enjoy the gaming community tremendously. I believe I can bring new ideas to the fray and zest to the bouillabaisse that is Pixlbit.

I think that just about every genre across all consoles—and our friend the PC, of course—have something to offer. My favorite games are those with great stories, games with quirky and distinctive design, and games that pack their biggest punch with solid, fun gameplay. I do think that games can ride at the echelon of artistic quality when they want to or just be here to provide entertainment.

I strive for fairness in my reviews, dish out my opinions, and hope to bring fresh perspectives to discussions. Most of all, I just want to write quality gaming news that you find useful and rewarding. I look forward to seeing everyone around the site!

What in the world are Furbies?

Furbies are the plural of Furby, a late '90's or early 2000's children's toy which was basically a cross between a Tamagotchi-style toy and a Tickle-Me-Elmo. You could interact with them based on what they said, and over time, they used more English than Furbish, but all around, they're very crazy and annoying toys.
