It's a brief review, but I think it gets the point across. I'm pretty sure Eidos likes it, at any rate.
April Fools '10 - Kane & Lynch: Dead Men Review
Another UBER-Quality game from Eidos.
Kane and Lynch may very well be the console game of the century. Developed by Eidos, the title is an absolute MASTERPIECE.
This is, without a doubt, a must-have title. I can't wait to find Kane and Lynch 2 on store shelves this August. |
To begin with, the story truly feels like an AAA movie. I'd place it up there with the greats, like The Godfather and Scarface. Never have I felt like Chris and I were literally part of a movie before when playing games, but now, thanks to Kane and Lynch, I can say I have.
Then, there's the co-op gameplay. Absolutely outstanding. Chris and I were mercenaries. We were living the life. And we never even had to leave home. This game is absolutely incredible. I was Kane, he was Lynch, and we went from the US to Tokyo, and even to Havanna! The scenery fits the co-op style gameplay, and really the stages are built for the maximum amount of fun to be had in a video game/movie experience!
In the end, Kane and Lynch deserved to be 2007's GotY, almost definitely. Nothing else on the 360, PS3, or PC came close to the quality, and perhaps the only thing that will could be Kane and Lynch 2.
