For the record, I'm gonna make my game a live PlayBit tomorrow night! Spooky scary!
Games I Play on Halloween: A Spooktacular Round Table
The Pixlbit Staff shares some of their favorite games that go bump in the night.
inFAMOUS 2: Festival of Blood
Festival of Blood is everything a good Halloween game should be. It takes a familiar setting and characters and dresses them up to tell a story completely outside of the realm of what we thought was possible in that world. If inFAMOUS was a television sitcom, Festival of Blood would be the classic Halloween special – a journey into the absurd that will be forgotten by the next episode.
You couldn’t ask for a better setting to tell a Halloween tale than New Marais. The crumbling gothic architecture, labyrinthine cemeteries and swamps brimming with voodoo are given an extra dose of the macabre on Pyre Night – a twisted marriage of Halloween and Mardi Gras. Vampires are free to frolic in the open on a night like this and Cole, our electrified hero, finds himself the recipient of an unwanted toothy necking. With new vampiric powers bestowed upon him, Cole has a single night to destroy the legendary Bloody Mary, lest he remain a child of the night for all time.
inFAMOUS has always been a fun game, but with a whole new suite of powers, Cole has never been more fun to control. And with Zeke doing the telling of this creepy tale, you can be sure that you’ll have a few chuckles as well. If that still doesn’t sell you, you can always pretend that every vampire you stake is Edward from the Twilight saga, reminding everyone that real vampires don’t sparkle.
