Good episode Mike. I don't have a problem with the new format and structure you have in mind for the episodes. It should be pretty cool to be able to talk about the most current news on the day your filming, and be able to pick out the stories you think would be most interesting. Your puppy is awesome lol, is her name Olive? That's what it sounded like when you called out to her.

When I started seeing headlines for the anti-piracy act I didn't think much of it, I said, "Big whup how bad could it be?". However hearing more about the details and trying understand what kind of consequences the bill would logically allow makes me skeptical of it. Like you I'm not too dramatic about it but I know enough that personal freedoms don't get stripped away all in one night. If you really want to start taking people's personal freedoms away you have to do it bit by bit over time and attempt to condition people to it so that you might be able to get away with it. This bill is just a small step in some wrong directions and they should revise it and put some more thought into it.

I agree with the people over at Epic, the bill apparently has good intentions and I want to see piracy slowed down, but I'm not convinced at all that this bill in its current form will do the job, or is worth the cons that could come with it.

Yea my dog's name is olive, she's a lasso-apso and she was bugging me for attention while I was trying to shoot the video. It got the point where I decided just to let her sit on my lap, lol. Anyways I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the new format, doing the show this way should allow me to post more regularly and tackle some subjects that I would have avoided in the past.

Like you I hope we see this bill reformatted, as piracy is something that desperately needs to be addressed. However, seeing that the bill is going to be voted on the 24th it is unlikely that this will happen. The truth is that this bill does pose a threat, and while I don’t think it will get passed; there is a lot of money backing this bill so we can’t be that sure.

Sounds like its the nuclear option to get rid of some flies....

A two prong approach would be to contact your representative, see what their stance is, and a letter to publishers.

What's the word with the president? Did he say he would sign it if got on his desk, or did he say he'll veto?

Yea I agree this solution will end up causing a lot more problems than it solves. As for Obama's stance on the bill I'm not too sure - it looks to be one of those “he said, she said situations”. Republicans are saying that he is for the bill, while Democrats argue that he is against it. I just hope that we don’t see another reluctant signature, because if pulls that disingenuous crap again, I think I’ll be sick.
