I'm okay being the only person in this thread, really I am *sniff*.

Anyways, I wanted to give some love to some games I'm backing or thinking about backing on the Kickstarter.  The social crowdfunding site is a fantastic place to discover new board games.  As always, choose who and how you back carefully.  There have been quite a few large scale failures out there, and no one likes putting their money behind vaporware.  I only back games that are beyond the conceptual phase, and really only need funding to get print runs put together.

Anyways, here are a few I've back and think are worthy of your consideration:

I did have the opportunity to back Boss Monster.  That game is awesome.

So many boardgames I want to play. I totally didn't realize there was this renaisance of board gaming going on in the last few decades. I like all the German board games that have come out. I've played the virtual versions of them. I really want to mix the real life board games into my regular gaming but it's hard. If I find the time, I'm going to get into it big time.

I just got my copy of Castles of Burgundy this past week.  I have yet to punch out all the tokens.

I'm into the classics, myself. I was the Parcheesi Queen growing up, taught all my nieces and nephews how to play. Played a bit of Risk in college, and also had the usual Monopoly marathon sessions. Played Battleship with my dad when I was a kid. And let's not forget Scrabble. Love that game!
