Simple - answer the question in the title and let us know how you waste spend your days!

I'm an Application Architect for CSC, which isn't exactly a simple job to explain. Basically I'm part technical project manager, part application designer, part network engineer, part configuration and deployment, and pretty much anything else in between that other organizations in the project don't handle. At the end of the day, I need to ensure that applications are delivered to production and all lower environments on time and built to the paradigms and patterns established by the architecture group.

After years of doing development or managing development teams, it's an interesting diversion that has been greatly expanding my horizons since I started the job back in August 2013.

I'm park ranger, currently on seasonal lay-off. And yeah, it's usually as cool as it sounds. Usually.

I don't think I'd like having to wear a stillsuit.

Currently, I work customer service at Speedway gas station, overnight stock at Walmart Market, and drill with the National Guard.

I really want to find a career that I would enjoy, but everything sounds lame/ boring. My dream job is to own a retro video game store.

I ensure that the spice flows, because the Spice must flow.

I work for Amazon in one of their Fulfillment Centers in Virginia. I started out in the pack department boxing up customer orders for shipment. I distinguished myself there and have since moved on to Problem Solve where I, well, solve problems. Orders could have any number of issues like a missing or damaged item or an incorrect number of items. We also deal with pieces that have become displaced and aren't connected to an order at all, as well as ensuring packages leave the building on time.

I'm a civil engineer who spends most of my days behind a computer, although I do get to go out and do "field work" on occasion.  I currently work with traffic safety where we try to make the roads safer for the public by identifying problem areas, implementing various safety projects to try and fix them, and then evaluate the effectiveness of the different countermeasures based on crash data.

I'm a Software Tester, specializing in Assistive Technology for the US Department of Transportation.  In a nutshell, I test any new software to see if it works with JAWS and/or ZoomText-- programs designed to allow a vision-impaired or blind person to use an operating system like anyone else that didn't have any vision problems.  These need to be tested for compliancy with Section 508-- a federal regulation that basically stipulates that any functions performed on a PC should be accessible to people with disabilities.

So, I test to see if a new software that the DOT wants to use meets those requirments.  It's cool, because, if the software doesn't work properly, it's not on me to make it work.  I just have report "yes" or "no", basically.

I am a steel fabricator, more specifically, a Machinist.

I run industrial lathes and other types of machines...we make the typical things a production environment requires...mostly, conveyors.  It's an interesting line of work, but you've definitely got to be interested in fabrication to enjoy it.

it pays the bills til I hit the Lotto.  ;)

I work for Flood Janitorial & Carpet Care, an independent custodial service based in NW Arkansas. I've been with the company for 9 years now and I've worked in school buildings, business offices, churches and the rare residential gig. Right now my focus is with a local school district where I"m in charge of the cleaning of all athletic buildings as well as some small middle school buildings. In a previous contract with another school district, I served as assistant supervisor in addition to regular duties.

thought I'd update, as I'm currently not in the Steel Fab racket =/

Currently doing overnight stock at a few different places while I wait for time to elapse on a few different opportunities to make my way back into Steel Fabrication.
