Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell Trilogies to Receive HD Updates

While Prince of Persia was known to be releasing in Europe, it's now confirmed for release in America.

Yesterday, Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemot, confirmed that Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Warrior Within, and The Two Thrones would be seeing release in America on the PlayStation Network in HD. This comes after the titles were recently announced for release in Europe on a single Blu-Ray disc.

No prices for the titles were announced, but they were announced to have a planned release before the end of this year.

In addition, Guillemot confirmed that Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, Pandora Tomorrow, and Chaos Theory would also see HD upgrades and re-release, but did not specify a release window.

This is the third series to be announced for an HD upgrade, after Beyond Good & Evil, which will be released next year.

I already own all three of the POP Sands games on last gen consoles. Other than the nicer graphics, I'm not sure what reason there would be to get these. They are good games though so anyone who missed out on them before should choose this set.
