PixelJunk Monsters Goes Portable This Week

Coinciding with the PSPgo launch, Q-Games' PSN title is being miniaturized for the PSP.

This Thursday, Sony's major update to the PSP, the PSPgo is launching across America and Europe. To coincide with the launch, Q-Games has prepared PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe, a portable edition of the hit PSN title.

The game will feature the same Tower Defense gameplay of its predecessor but will feature a new trap tower, a new island, new enemies, online play, as well as the ability to spectate games.

No official price has been announced at this time.

It was 8 years ago that Metroid Prime 4 was originally announced and its development was more than a little turbulent. Initially developed by Bandai Namco, it was later scrapped completely and development was shifted back to Retro Studios to start the project over. In the end, Retro has delivered a solid new entry in the series, but one that doesn’t totally capture what originally made the series so compelling.
