Sony Files 'TouchEngine' Trademark
Is this Sony's concept of a future play mechanic?
Earlier last week on September 24, Sony trademarked the concept of the "Touch Engine" that can be used in conjunction with an assortment of objects ranging from mobile phones to digital controllers for video games.
Currently it is unknown whether Sony will utilize this trademark for anything in particular. However, this is not the first time Sony has filed documents related to touch screen control.
In June of 2008, a NeoGAF forum member reported on a patent they had discovered concerning a "hand-held device with touchscreen and digital tactile pixels."
