Bethesda Announces Prey 2
Your prayers have been answered.
It’s been five years since we’ve last seen Tommy, the Cherokee protagonist of the first game, kicking alien butt. Luckily for us, Bethesda is planning to scratch our itch to enter portals and shoot the spirit bow once again. In 2009, parent company Zenimax acquired the Prey trademark with plans to release a sequel to the popular FPS. Since then no plans were heard.
Yesterday, Bethesda finally confirmed a sequel was in production over at Human Head Studios, the original developers of Prey. Prey 2 is planned to be released some time in 2012.
Prey 2 will be built on the id Tech game engine and is in development for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Expect more information in the coming weeks.

Sequel to Award-Winning Prey to be Available in 2012
March 14, 2011 (Rockville, MD) — Bethesda Softworks®, a ZeniMax® Media company, today announced that Prey® 2, the sequel to the popular 2006 game, is scheduled for release in 2012 and will be available for Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, and Games for Windows. Further details on the game will be revealed in the May issues of Official Xbox Magazine and PlayStation: The Official Magazine, as well as in magazines throughout Europe.
Prey 2 is being developed by Human Head Studios, the studio that created Prey, the original, award-winning game. Prey 2 is being built on the cutting edge id tech engine from id Software.
