EA Sports’ Next NBA Simulation Title Coming Fall 2012
Jesus Bynum rises to play basketball after all.
Well what do you know? EA Sports is still working hard on bringing their NBA sim franchise back to life. It was only last November that we found out their reboot “NBA Elite 11” was being cancelled. The game’s plan was to completely rework the image of EA’s NBA franchise and give it a fresh start. The plan backfired when players got their hands on the demo and birthed the infamous “Jesus Bynum” revealing the much needed work the game still needed to go through.
What better studio to give it to than the studio that makes the Madden games?
"As planned, our next NBA simulation title is in development at our Tiburon Studio in Orlando," said Peter Moore, President, EA SPORTS. "We have top talent on the game, and we're giving the new development team time to deliver a superior experience. We're making great strides and looking forward to launching a new game next year."
EA has learned its lesson the hard way and the fall 2012 release date should give the team ample time to work on a proper reboot. Currently no platforms have been announced, but the last title was in development for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
