Earthworm Jim Remake Details Surface

The digital download remake of the 1994 game will feature better graphics, online leaderboards, and more.

More information about Gameloft's remake of Earthworm Jim has been uncovered thanks to GamerBytes. The late 2009 release is a from-the-ground-up remake of the 1994 Sega Genesis version, and will have a lot of upgrades, including smoother animations, different difficulty levels (a feature not in the original), and even the original music from Tommy Tallarico.

Hitting all three console download networks (XBLA, PSN, and WiiWare), Earthworm Jim will also contain the additional level found only in the Sega CD and PC versions, and online leaderboards that track various stats. Unfortunately, the game will have a month long exclusivity with Xbox Live.
