Nintendo's newest console already has an impressive line-up of third party titles.

It’s been many years since Nintendo had the support of third parties for a home console. With the change into HD, many of the developers saw the Wii as a weaker system, choosing to develop their titles on systems with superior graphical capabilities. However, at Nintendo's Press Conference today, the company was thrilled to announce the vast support they will expect for their newly revealed HD system, the Wii U.

At the press conference we heard from figureheads at a wide variety of companies, including THQ, Ubisoft, and EA. Thanks to this newly formed partnership, the Wii U already has an impressive library of games in the release Q. Upcoming titles showcased at today's press conference include:

After this impressive lineup of games was showcased, the CEO of EA, John Riccitiello, discussed his enthusiasm and excitement at the opportunity to develop for the Wii U. He also mentioned that EA will be bringing extensive online capabilities to the Wii U.

While the majority of third-party Wii U titles were revealed through trailers, a few details were revealed about the upcoming title, Lego City Stories. The game promises to bring humor and an open ended experience to gamers, and is currently in development by tt games for both the Wii U and 3DS, and will be published by Nintendo.
