Wow, I didn't expect this at all. Seriously...
I specifically waited for this to happen since I was convinced it was going to. Lo and behold, here we are. I'm excited for sure and come November, I'm all over this.
Marvel vs. Capcom 3 gets an update of Ultimate proportions. Click through to see the new fighters in action!
Today, Capcom announced a follow up to its hugely successful title, Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 looks to fix a number of issues fans had with the game, as well as add in a slew of new characters, bringing the number on disk up to 48 – a total of 50 if you include downloadable characters.
Four of the twelve new characters have been announced, including the fan favorite Strider Hiryu, and Ghosts 'n' Goblins villain Firebrand from the Capcom side, while Ghost Rider and Hawkeye have been revealed from the Marvel side. More characters are expected to be announced prior to release.
Aside from the new characters, the game features a new balance that promises to provide accessible depth for newcomers and pros, as well as enhanced gameplay modes. One of these modes includes the much requested spectator mode, which lets players view matches in progress while waiting for their turn. Along with that, the online system has been improved overall, and hopes to provide a much better online experience than its predecessor.
Like Super Street Fighter IV, the title will be priced at $39.99, so it won’t necessarily break the bank. Anyone looking forward to more Marvel has a lot to be excited about as Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is scheduled to be released in November this year.

When 1up started the process of shutting down, there was one person who seemed to lead to charge to congregate the community in a single place. After his first visit here, it wasn't long before a slew of new members arrived. The site came alive and the real story of PixlBit began - the one that involves all of you. The person I'm referring to is, of course, Michael Alvarado, otherwise known as Michael117.
