Sing and Dance to the hits by the Swedish sensation
Ubisoft revealed ABBA: You Can Dance for the Nintendo Wii today. Developed by Ubisoft Paris, Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Bucharest, the title will include 26 songs, including "Dancing Queen", "Waterloo", and "Mamma Mia", for four players to dance and two players to sing along to. The will have choreography and stages inspired by the groups live appearances and music videos.
An additional mode will let players act out a love story set to and inspired by ABBA's music. Video clips with special anecdotes displayed are also available for hardcore ABBA fans. ABBA Invites You to Unleash Your Inner Dancing Queen This November
San Francisco – September 30, 2011– Today, Ubisoft® announced the upcoming release of a new video game based on the music and performances of Swedish supergroup ABBA. ABBA You Can Dance is developed exclusively for the WiiTM system from Nintendo by Ubisoft Paris, the studio that revolutionized the genre with the Just Dance® series, as well as Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Bucharest. ABBA You Can Dance will be released in North America on November 15, 2011.
ABBA created music that spanned generations and has inspired millions to sing and dance. ABBA You Can Dance features 26 ABBA songs, including all of the group’s biggest hits, such as “Dancing Queen,” “Mamma Mia,” “Take a Chance on Me” and “Waterloo.” The game’s professionally choreographed routines and unique environments were inspired by the group’s music videos and live performances.

With ABBA You Can Dance, Ubisoft is making it possible for more people to join in on the fun of a dancing game. Up to four players can dance while two additional players can sing along to the lyrics on screen. A mini-musical mode lets players act out the key roles in a love story based on some of the group’s classic songs. ABBA You Can Dance also includes original video clips and displays anecdotes about the group that even die-hard fans will find entertaining and informative.
